Tmctora Project
The 4-H Club Tractor Maintenance project will have the first of a series of five meetings at Russell Brother’s Garyge in Flint Hill, Tuesday, February 28 at 7:00 pjn. Leaders for the project will be Mr. Wallace Russell, Mr. Raymond Sutphin and Mr. Eddie Sutphin.
The 4-lH Tractor program is designed to teach young men to be safe and intelligent machine operators. They are given the opportunity by the “learn by doing” process to properly operate and maintain tractors and other farm machines. Therefore, the 4-H Tractor Maintenance project should be a natural for all farm boys in the county,.
The expanded use and need of tractors in the county, combined with increased costs of tractors makes any program to reduce tractor costs important to farmers.
The 4-H tractor program helps by teaching members proper care of farm machines. Proper care not only reduces operating costs but repair costs and the inconvenience of having the tractor in the shop when there is work to be done.
