Luther Warfield; Brown of Sperryville, Va., a retired carpenter and a veteran of the Spanish American War, died Tuesday, March 14 at the Butler Veterans Administration Hospital, Butler, Pa. He was 80 years! of age.
A lifelong resident of Sperryville, he was a son of the late William Trayis and Virginia Atkins Brown of Rappahannock County.
Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nellie W. Brown of the home address; six daughters, Mrs. A. Q. Craun, Orange, Va., Mrs. C. S. Butler, Hagerstown, Md., Mrs. Grahanit Allison and Mrs. John T. Poferl both of Baltimore, Md., Mrs. James J. Way‘land, Portsmouth, Va., and Mrs. Carson Johnson Sperryville; four sons, Robert W. Brown, William J. Brown, Lewis Kelly Brown and L. Edward Brown, ill of Sperryville; 18 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
A graveside serv ce~ was held Friday March 17 at 11:00 a.m. at Sperryville Cemertp' with Rev. H. E. Nicholson officiating.
Pallbearers were Robert F. Estes, E. M. Estes, Jpe Fox, John Eubank, Elmer Atkjins and Roy Reeve.
Clore Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
