Practical Nursing
Course In Culpeper
The third Culpeper Practical Nursing class will start on August 29. It is divided into two parts. The first period will be taught in he classrooms in the basement of the Culpeper County Courthouse each school day. The second period consists of eight months of training at the University of Virginia Hospial, Charlottesville, under the direction of Miss Annie Hawkins, Pre-clinical Instructor. Upon passing the course, the student is eligible to take the state examination to become a licensed practical nurse.
The only expense for the course is that each student has to buy her own nuiforms, shoes, watch, and textbooks. If anyone is interested in taking the course, they should write to Mrs. Jamest Stover, Box 631, Culpeper, Va. as soon as possible.
Red Oak Johnsons
To Have Reunion
The descendants of the Red Oak Johnsons will hold their annual picnic August 27 at Flat Woods packing house on Rt. 211 between Washington and Sperryville, Va. All descendants are invited to come and bring their picnic lunch. A large gathering is anticipated.
