Edward G. Tapp Dies
In Veterans Hospital
‘ Edward Gibson Tapp, 53, a prominent merchant and farmer of Amissville, died Tuesday, Aug' ust 22 in Newton D. Baker Hos-.. pital, Martinsburg, W. Va. where he had been a patient for several months.
He was a son of the late Francie M. Tapp and the late Nettie Leach Tapp,
Mr. Tapp was a member and Steward of Amissville Methodist Church and a member of Amissville Fire Company.
Surviving are his wife, the former Louise Martin, of the home address; one brother, Maddox Tapp of Front Royal and an aunt, Mrs. Jennie Keyser also of Front Royal. «■ * -- ‘ Funeral services will be held Friday, August 25 at 2 pjn. EST from Amissville Methodist Church with interment in the family section of the church cemetery. Rev. Ralph Stalter, assisted by former pastor. Rev. Ledford C. Vaughan, Jr. will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Charlie Compton, Graham Hackley, Clifton Nethers, Elmer Jenkins, Stanch i$h Riley, Frank Walter, Emerson "Smith, and Roadcap Atkins, Sr. A veteran of World War I, Mr. Tapp will have full military honors. Geest Funeral Parlors are in charge of arrangements.
