Miss Davis To Leave
Monday For Japan
Miss Mary Norman Davis will leave Monday for Japan where she will teach in a Mission School for the coming year. She will go by plane from Friendship Airport in Baltimore. The past Monday, Mr. and Mrs. B. R. Cox entertained with a surprise watermelon party at the Lake in honor of their granddaughter; Miss Davis.
Mrs. T. M. Rees of “Reescroft” arranged a beautiful table centerpiece of red roses which she had grown in her garden. Guests were the honoree, Miss Davis, Misses Judy Hawkins Betty Ann Blanton,, Becky Jones, and Carolyn Gates Turner Dr, and Mrs. George H. Davis of Warrenton, Mr. and Mrs. George H. Davis, Jr. and family, Mjss Dotty Davis, Cil Davis and George Davis, III, Ray Snead, John Walker, and Rev. Park Dickerson of Griffinsburg and Rev. James Fleet of Woodstock.

Last Thursday Misses Nancy, Sally and Susan Latham and Billy j Payne spent the day in Herndon ; at a picnic and swimming party. ; Mrs. J. R. Latham and Miss Judith Latham were over night guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. George Harrison in Harrisonburg.
