Feted At Dinner
Mrs. Sarah McClendon, columnist for a number of newspapers over the country, visited in Rappahannock over the weekend. Mrs. McClendon, well known in political circles, covers “The Hill" in Washington, D. C. and is immediate past president of the American Newspaper Womens Club. She is also a member of the Womens Press Club.
Mrs. McClendon, accompanied by her daughter, Miss Sally O’Brein, was the over night guest Sunday of Michel d’Orleans at • Swiss Chalet, Sperryville. Sunday evening Mr. d’Orleans entertained with a dinner in her honor, having as guests Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Fletcher, Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Pillar, Mr. and Mrs. George H. Davis, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. S. E. Hening, Miss Sally Anderson and Mrs Sarah Latham.
