Rites Held Friday
Thurman Joseph Wilson, 72, of Orange, -formerly of Castleton, died Thursday, August 17, at his residence there, (^following tabout ten years of declining health. Son of the late Edward Wilson and Lula Grimsley Wilson, he was a native of Rappahannock County.
'He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Acrey Dodson, Amissville, Mrs. Bennie Knighting and Mrs. Frances Moubray, both of Alexandria; four sons, William E. Wilson of Orlean, Thurman J. Wilson, Jr., Charles R. Wilson and Thomas Wilson, all of Orange; 20 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Mabel Carder of Culpeper, Mrs. Lucille Chadwell of Hume,» and Sirs. Ora Carder of Baltimore, Md.
A funeral service was held Friday, August 18, from Geest Funeral chapel, with interment following in Fairview Cemetery. .The Rev. John B. Hodge of Amissville Baptist Churdv conducted the last rites.
Pallbearers were Ray Cannon, Moffett Cloud, Clarence Scott, A. F* Cannon, Buck Carder, C. J. Carder, Bill Carder and E. W. Carder;
