Mr. Ralph Bradley, Director of Service and his staff are in the County today giving these eightyone children a more detailed examination. Plans are being made for the speech correction clinic which will be another service rendered bythe Foundation.
Each child with defects will be given a speech and hearing evaluation. Case histories will be obtained from the parents and after all test results have been analyzed the parents will be counseled and proper referrals will be made.
The Foundation was started in were interested in promotinng hea 1952 by doctors and educators who were interested in promoting hearing rehabilitation in our state. Two years later it was incorporated as a private non-profit organization. Since the beginning the Foundation has been instrumental in evaluating the hearing of thousands of school children in Virginia and hundreds of children with hearing and speech disorders have been discovered.

The residents of Rappahannock should be wary of magazine salesmen, now canvassing the country, who may or may not be authorized representatives of publishing companies. In some cases magazines, purchased are received and in other cases they are not.
Since we have an annual magazine sale campaign in Our local schools, it is suggested that you purchase magazines or renew your subscriptions through Rappahannock students.

The Sue Slaughter fall group • meeting will be held at Woodville Baptist Church on Wednesday, October 18th at 7:30 p.m. Miss Elizabeth Hale will be the guest missionary speaker. All women of W.M.S. are asked to attend.
