Washington Baptist Church is entertaining at a covered dish supper honoring the new teachers in our community tonight between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. On this Columbus Day, those attending are bound to discover good fellowship and food. . Mr. and Mrs. Jacltson Paulson and family of Newport News were weekend guests of. Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Campbell.

Mrs. Grace Reid is at her home now after spending the past ten days in Culpeper with Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Bowie.
Mr. and Mrs. C. Raymond Wire of Chevy Chase, Md. recently spent several days at The Shade.

Mrs. Downing Wood and Miss Mary Miller Wood were Sunday visitors of Miss Frances Wood in Staunton. They returned by way of Waynesboro and visited Rev. and Airs. John D. Divers. Rev. Divers mother, Mrs. J. H. Divers, remains quite ill in the Roanoke Hospital. Rev. Dabney J. Carr is attending the Fall Clergy Conference of the Diocese of Virginia this week at Roslyn, near Richmond. Dr. and Mrs. Howard Berger spent the weekend at Clairmonte.
