The Culpeper - Rappahannock - Warren Heart Council held its quarterly meeting at the Culpeper National Bank, Culpeper, January 9th. Mrs. George Shelhorse, Mrs. Paul Hounshell represented the Culpeper Council, Mrs. Albert Warrick and Mrs. T. W. Devers, Warren; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Miller, Mrs. Lester Burke, Rappahannock. Mrs. Marguarite Huffman, Marshall, Virginia gave the talk. She announced that the Virginia Heart Association is sponsoring Heart Research Day at the University Hospital on Saturday, February 10. Children between the ages of 6-12 who have had successful heart surgery are invited, together with parents. The parents and any other interested persons will have an opportunity to hear the new developments in heart research. If you know of any child who qualifies, please contact the heart council in your community. Mrs. Lester Burke, Washington, Virginia is Vice-President of the Council and is also the Fund Drive Chairman for 1962 for Rappahannock. i The public will have an opportunity to observe heart research in progress at the University of Virginia Medical Center Monday, February 5, Heart Research Day.
