Rappahannock Rescue Squad held its regular January meeting on Monday the 15th. The main business of the meeting was the election of officers for 1962 which were as follows: Captain, Frank Huff; Lieutenant, Edward Clark; Sec.-Treas Edward. Hudson.
The Squad reports that for the past year 8,070 miles were traveled on 102 calls; over 600 gallons of gasoline was used and first aid supplies were an additional expense; insurance costs topped $300.
The ambulance, purchased in December 1960, was paid for by July 1961 with carnival and dance proceeds and contributions.
The Washington Ladies Auxiliary presented the squad a check last week for $200.
All contributions and donations, to this volunteer community organization are appreciated, for it is through the community that it is able to operate. The squad members thank everyone for their support.
