A Board of Assessors' has been appointed for Rappahannock to j assess all real estate as is required by statute. This assessment is made every six years.

On the Board are D. D. Miller, Thomas Williams and J. Rodes Brown. The appointments were made by Judge R.«V. Snead.

M. C. Bacon, who has moved here from Glouchester County,' is a consultant and will assist the local Board members in their du; ties. He will work from the office

Local High School

Burglarized Sunday

Rappahannock High School was burglarized Sunday night and approximately $65 taken from the vault.

Vandals gained entrance to the building through a back window into the auditorium and then into the office. By prizing open a steel door the vault was reached.

The theft was discovered by Mr. Alvin Atkins, janitor,a when he reftorted for yvork Monday morning.
