February 14 is a big night at Rappahannock High School. Some teachers have even agreed to give no homework that night in order that all students may attend the Valentine Party and participate in Cupid’s Capers.
Many varied activities are planned for that night. There will be table games, group games, entertainment by the girls of the Glee Club, refreshments and dancing.
The party wilL be ^Highlighted by th crowning or\a ASweetheart for 1962. Each class^has chosen their sweetheart and she will be presented at the party. The 8th grade chose Brenda Nalls; 9th grade Shirley Atkins; 10th grade Dotty Davis; 11th grade Sally Latham and 12th grade Sue Many. This party for high school students and their dates is sponsored by the S.C.A. The Methodist Church in Sperryville will hold a fried chicken dinner on Saturday, February 17. The dinner will be held at thf VFW hall from 5 to 7 p-m. Proceeds from the dinner will be used to put a new wof on the dburdh.
