breeders from every area of the Old Dominion gathered recently in Charlottesville for the annual meeting of the Virginia Angus Association. More than 125 cattlemen attended. A discussion of beef industry problems and programs was held the evening priori to the meeting. It was led by George W. Litton, head of the animal husbandry department at Virginia Polytechnic Institute, Blacksburg.
Lee D. Butler, owner of Kinloch Farm, Supply, was elected president of the association for the coming year and W. B. McSpadden Jr., White Oak Spring Farm, Chilhowie, was named vice-president. G. Dayton Hodges, Staunton, was elected treasurer.
