Mr. and JVirs. Lee owtnaier have been notified of the illness of their son M-Sgt. Lee Swindler, Jr. who is stationed in Omaha, Neb. He has been flown to Lakeland Air Base hospital in Texas for surgery. Later reports from him are that his condition is satisfactory.
Mr. and Mrs. J. Rodeo Brown were dinner guests Sunday of Miss Eda Finks at her home in the F. T. Valley.
S-Sgt. Bob Lewis of Andrews Air Base, near Washington, D. C., spent the week end with his mother, Mrs. V. M. Lewis and family.
Elder and Mrs. J. Harvey Daily % were luncheon guests on Saturday of Mrs. Alice Jones in Front Royal en route to Bentonville, where they were overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Lockheart.
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Pillar were called to Norfolk on Monday by the death of a friend. Mr. Pillar returned Wednesday and Mrs. Pillar is remaining for a visit with her mother, Mrs. Thomas A. Morrow.
Mr. and Mrs. Reginald Updike are spending several days in Maryland. Mrs. George Hottle and her mother-in-law, Mrs. Bessie Hottle are caring for the patients the nursing home during Mrs. Updike’s absence.
