The Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Company of Virginia announced last week the introduction of a new long distance billing statement for the Spcrryville area customers which gives them more details about their out-of-town calls. Some customers received the new statements with their March bills.

Harry E. Lindsey, area manager. said that the new “statement B” is easier to read since it spells out the complete name of most of the cities and towns called as well as most of the distant telephone numbers. He said that these statements are prepared automatically by special electronic machines from a card on which our operator simply marks in appropriate spaces the the information jpeeded about each call.
