To me the most striking tiling about the city is the planned landscaping in every imaginable place and manner using evergreens and flowers. This is not only in the publicly maintained grounds, but everywhere including business and residential property.

The cable car, jaunty little relic of bygone days and still a cherished mode of travel over the city’s steep hills, is a wonderful way to explore the city, especially after you have

found how steep the inclines are| on foot. The vnew of the city from the famous Golden Gate Bridge is breath-taking and the pink and white houses nestled along the bay and up into the hills look like a Mediterranean picture post card city.

At might the view of the city from the top of the Mark is unbelievable. This famous spot has recently been challenged by the opening of the Crown Room atop the Fairmonts new tower featuring the highest observation point in the city. The added attraction is the
