Amissville Ruritan Club objectives for the year 1962 are: i 1. lEducation: (1) Give annual award to outstanding senior at Rappahannock High School. (2) Give annual award to outstanding child in fifth grade at Forest Grove School. (3) A member of the Ruritan Club will present each of the above awards. ; 2. 'Health and Welfare: (1) Secure an area dump. (2) Distribute Christmas baskets to needy families in the community. 1 3. Highway: (1) Make a survey of community and recommend where stop signs and caution signs should be erected.
4. Home Beautification: (1) Sponsor Christmas lighting contest.
5. Recreation and Goodwill: (1) Two Ruritan Club members who are not members of the Amissville Fire Department to work in stand at carnival. (2) Put float in Firemen’s Parade.
6. Rural Church: (1) Send a minister to Rural Ministers Con-' ferenee. (2) Extend invitation to community ministers to attend meetings when they can. (3) Attend one or more church services in a body.
7. Safety: (1) Install night light at firehouse and pay the $3.00 cost to Fire Department each month.
8. Arrangements: (1) Continue to see that club suppers are planned and arranged for well in advance of meetings.
