Easely S. Smith, Farm Machinery Specialist of V.P.I., will bring a Cole type planter adapted to a three point hitch tractor. Also the tractor wheels will be adjusted to a 72” width to plant four 36” rows
of corn. Based on research on these methods fertilizer will be broadcast ahead of plowirT^. The wheel track method requires that plowing be done within 2 or 3 hours. Plowing for the tilled strip method may be done anytime. Both methods require a good job of plowing covering all trash and plant material.
