Bertha Mae Settle
Mrs. Bertha Mae Settle, wife of the late Joseph Settle of Viewfown, died Thursday, March 29 at Culpeper Memorial I Hospital. Daughter of the late Festus Hitt and Mary Smith Hitt, she was 90.
Mrs. Settle is survived by three {laughters, Mrs. Otha Deal of Castleton, with whom she had been making her home recently, Mrs. Raymond Corbin and Mrs. A. P. Settle, both of Manassas; one son, Turner B. Settle of Vicwtown; five grandchildren and ten greatgrandchildren.
A funeral service was held Sunday, April 1, from Forest Grove Baptist Church, Viewtown, of which she was a member, with the Rev. John B. Hodge officiating. Interment followed in Fairview Cemetery at Culpeper.
Pallbearers were Roy Hitt, Fess Hitt, Leo Hitt, Archie Hitt, Raymond Hitt and Ray Sutphin.
Arrangements were handled by Geest Funeral Parlors.
