County 4-ffers Sweep
Lamb Show Atid Sale
Rappahannock 4-'H members continued their habit of sweeping the Northern Virginia Lamb Show and Sale with entries at Winchester on May 14th.
Updike brothers, Lyle and Francis, exhibited the Grand Champion and Reserve Champion in both the singles and pen-of-three classes. Anna Sites placed third with one of her lambs in the singles classes 'while Netus Dodson was runnerup to the champions in the pens-ofthree class.
In all, Rappahannock’s club members,, Francis, Lyle, Anna, Netus and Billy Sisk, exhibited 16 lambs all grading prime.
There were 13 exhibitors from Page, Rappahannock and Frederick counties.
Francis Updike’s Grand Champion single, a crossbred Southdown weighing 110 pounds, was bought by Allen Coffman of New Market at $30.00 cwt. The Reserve Champion, a porset exhibited by Lyle Continued on page ten
