Flint Hill Scouts To

Sponsor Magic Show

Boy Scout Troop #36 of Flint Hill, Va. will sponsor a Magic Show Saturday, May 19 at the Flint Hill Fire Hall beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Edwin Smith, “The Little Professor," of Luray will be the m^ gician. He has been heartily received by other local organizations. Mr. Smith is Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop #7 in Luray and is a teacher of Indian Craft which has won approval in many areas.

Admission to the show is 50c and all proceeds will go toward sending scouts to Camp Rock Enon for a week. Refreshments will be on sale.

Scouts of the Flint Hill Troop are selling tickets for the program.

Re-appointed To

Apple Commission

Commissioner o f Agriculture Parke C. Brinkley has re-appointed four members to the Virginia Apple Commission, beginning July 1, 1962.

Re-appointed members are: H. L. Hollar, Timberville of the Shenandoah-Rockingham District; A. R. Seaman, Roseland, Southern Piedmont District; E. M. Jones, Washington, Northern Piedmont District; and Elbert R. Utt, Fancy Gap, Southwest Virginia District.

These terms will expire June 30, 1964.

The Commission is charged with promoting the sale of Virginia apples using funds levied on Virginia apples sold.
