RAD Committee To
Hold Auction May 26
Is the development of Rappahannock worth your support? The answer to this question is'a matter of opinion. Opinions are based on knowledge, or degree of knowledge about a subject. Then too, as human beings we are inclined to develope attitudes, which subsequently govern our actions, without being completely informed.
The hroad objective of the Rappahannock Development Committee is the development of the county’s human and economic resources to the maximum potential.
On the DAR Committee are representatives of local organizations, civic, religious, agricultural, and businessmen, youth* and county government.
The first project undertaken by the Rural Area Development Committee is that of printing a brochure, “Resort To Rappahannock” with the 50,000 copies distributed over a large area. The illustrated brochure will tell the story of the county, past, present and future.
To defray the expenses of this publication the committee decided to have an auction to which everyone can contribute articles to sell. Anything is acceptable, from livestock to buttons. The sale will be held Saturday, May 26 at Flat Woods Packing House starting promptly at 10:30 a-m.
