On June 23 at the McConnick Farm located near Steele’s Tavern (just off Route 11 between Lexington and Staunton), will be held the first production tested ram sale ever held in Virginia. In fact, you can do more thaif just attend the sale; an excellent program has been arranged for the Field Day.
Approximately 60 rams of the Hampshire, Dorest, Southdown, and Suffolk breeds will be sold. The rams were selected from 25 flocks on the basis of growth rate and type, and have been in the feeding test for three months. They will be sheared, fertility checked,' graded and sold.
