Mrs. C. B. Palmer completed her summer school course Friday at Madison College.
Mrs. Daibney J. Carr left Sunday for Tallahassee, Fla. to spend ten days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl J. Jones.
Mrs. Henry Huff was the guest Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Many and family at Ivy Hill. On Monday the Manys were visited by Mr. Many’s sister, Mrs. William Clifford and Mr. Clifford of Pompano Beach, Fla and Mrs. Chris Christensen of Washington, D. C. They were enroute to Seattle, Wash, to visit relatives and attend the fair.
C. B. Palmer will leave Monday to spend the week at V.P.I. attending the Vocational Agriculture Institute Conference which lasts through Friday.
Mrs. T. C. Lea and grandchildren, Nancy, Jay and Billy Cargill, left Wednesday for Amherst where they will be thfc guests of Mr. and Mrs. T. S. Williams. Thursday they will be joined by Mrs. John Cargill and Mrs. T. C. Lea, Jr. and family whose husbands will arrive Friday night. The Cargills will be guests of Mrs. Lucille Thompson in Lynchburg. Saturday they will attend the wedding of Mrs. Lea’s niece, Miss Joyce Lea Seamen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alton R. Seaman to John Carter ‘Parr at Bethlehem Methodist Church in Roseland.
Misses Sue Many and Dorothy Moore returned today from New York where they have been visiting and sight-seeing since Monday. They were accompanied by Miss Mildred Many of Washington, D. C.
