Driver’s Badge
Army Specialist Four Robert E. Atkins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh S. Atkins, Sperryville_ Va., recently received a wheeled vehicle driver’s badge for driving 6000 miles without an accident or traffic violation while assigned to the 38th Transportation Battalion in Worms, Germany.
Atkins, a driver in the battalion’s 513th Transportation Company, entered the Army in November 1960 and completed basic canbat training at Fort Jackson, S. C.
'fhe 25-year-old soldier is , a 1955 graduate of Rappahannock County High School. His wife Evelyn is with him in Germany.
