Most people tend t oeat less in hot weather. They forget that, whatever the weather, the body is still working full time did it stil i needs a consistent fuel supply. Thej following are hot weather diet tips:
1. Are hot foods more nutritious than cold? By no means. Such things as vegetable and fruit salads, cold meats, enriched breads, all provide important amounts of essential nutrients.
2. When it’s too hot to eat, why not just have a snack and let it go , at that ? This is all right, but only provided that the snacks you eat during the day add up to a well balanced diet. It is safer to stay on a regular meal schedule; if you don’t, your “heat” exhaustion may be aggravated by insufficient nutritious fuel to keep you going. 3. Will plenty of fresh air and sunlight provid call the vitamins you need? Not a chance. The only vitamin your body absorbs from sunlight is Vitamin D. You still need your full daily requirement of vitamins, minerals and other nutrients.
