1962-63 Hunting And

Fishing License Due

Hunters and fishermen will be required to purchase their new 1962-63 hunting ar.d fishnig licenses before going afield since June 30, according to Game Commission Executive Director Chester F. Phelps. The 1961-62 licenses expired at midnight June 30. The new licenses are now on sale at authorized license agents.

Resident state-wide hunting licenses cost $3.50 each. Special city or county hunting and fishing licenses available to residents of that county or city only cost $2.00 each ard are valid only within the borders of the county or city of residence. Persons entitled to purchase resident licenses are those who physically resided in county, city or state for six consecutive months immediately prior to application for the license. In addition to the regular license, a special one-dollar trout license is-required to fish in stocked trout streams and a onedollar big game license is required to hunt bear, deer,Tor turkey'.

Fishing or huntnig with an expired license is one of the most common^ violations at this time of year, so Phelps urges sportsmen to be sure they renew their license before going afield now.
