There will be the annual Mother's Day Program at the First Baptist Church, Sunday May 12 at 11 a.m. sponsored by the Missionary Circle. •
Miss Gloria Jett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Jett of Flint Hill was one of the six students picked from Virginia Union’s University Choir of 75 voices to attend the “Intercollegiate Music- Association”. which was followed by a concert. The meeting was held April 19-21 at Elizabeth City State Teachers-College, Elizabeth City, N. C.
Friday, April 26, Miss Jett will travel to-Washington, D.C., with the choir where they wili give a concert at 8:00 p.m. The group will leave Richmond early Friday afternoon and dine at Howard University.
