Draft Extended

The draft has been extended for four years, until July 1, 1967. This means that the young men of the country must continue to expect to serve in the military forces. This series of articles outlines the basic responsibilities and rights of young men under the draft law.
The Military Obligation
At age 17, a young man (with his parents' consent) may choose among a wide variety of ways to begin the discharge of his current active duty and reserve military obligation.
