Acree was not injured. Miss Kay Johnston of Washington, Va., a passenger in the car, broke two front teeth and chipped two teeth. Damage was estimated at $500. W. A. Buntin was investigating officer. At Massies Corner Monday morning a 1955 Packard pulling a trailer was loaded with 250 homing pigeons enroute from Hagerstown, Md. to Sperryville where they were to be released on a practice flight. However, when the accident occurred the trailer was damaged so the pigeons escaped, made a circle and headed for Hagerstown. A four year old colored girt, Seneca Gatewood of Washington, Va., was struck by an automobile Sunday when she fan out of her yard on Route 626 into its path. She was taken to Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal by Rappahannock Rescue Squad with abrasions of the head and face. Two of her teeth were also knocked out. She was treated and released.
Driver of a 52 Plymouth, which struck the child was Curtis Waldo Cliffin, Washington, Va. No charges were placed against him, according to Trooper Paul Dicks who investigated the accident
