The two officers then combed the area for suspects who worked in a stable or around horses. This led to Bradley who worked in a stable near Luray. Knott admitted his guilt and signed a written confession on the spot indicating his guilt in all three of the May breakins. He in turn disclosed that his companions were Bradley and i Breeden of Shenandoah. Knott also admitted breaking into Walnut Lodge prior to the May 21 offense.
