It Is not often you find anyone working to make money to give away, but Mrs. Lottie Moss is the most eager person with that aim whom I have ever met. She is working t o w a r d the establishment of a college scholarship fund to be used in Rappahannock to assist deserving s t u d e n t s in furthering their education.
With the opening last week of the Jordan House near Amissville, Mrs. Moss and Mrs. Sue Ingersoll, both of Castleton, are serving a twofold purpose. The Jordan House will be a county exchange for marketing products made by local and area residents and an antique shopAnyone having handmade products, antiques or any saleable items may sell them i through this exchange on a percentage basis. The selling fee retained by the business will be put in the Kitty for the scholarship fund. For as long as I can remember there has been discussion by one group or another about a marketing exchange here but no one ever got down to brass tacks about it. The success of this venture will depend on the general public who take advantage of this outlet. The greater the volume of goods sold, the sooner the fund will grow.
