ivu. anu Mrs. nanaorpn Devers were hosts at a dinner party on Tuesday evening having as guests Mr. and Mrs. Lee Swindler and son. Bill, and the Swindler's houseguests, S/Sgt. and Mrs James A. Swindler and two children. Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie Sisk and two children of Baltimore are spending their vacation, dividing the time with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew W. Sisk and Mr. and Mrs. G. M. Black. S. E. Hening, who was a patient in Memorial Hospital -in‘ Culpeper last week for observation and treatment, has returned to his home in town where he is recuperating.
Mr. and Mrs. Lester Dodson had as guests during the week-end their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Peyton, Jr. of Falls Church. Mrs. Harry Smith of Washington; D. C. is a guest for severals days of Mrs. Perle Coffey. Sunday guests of Mrs Coffey were Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Rector and family of Flint Hill. Mr. and Mrs.-Douglas Cornell of Washington, D. C. spent the week-end at Boulder Lodge, their summer cottage on the Hazel River. William Cloe of Stafford spent the week-end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Pillar in Jenkins Hollow.
Bridge Club Entertained By Mrs. Smith
Mrs. Galley W. Smith, Jr. of Flint Hill entertained mem bers of the Washington Bridge Club Thursday evening with a dessert Bridge. Guests were Mrs. Frank W. Spalding, Mrs. W. F. Moffett Mrs. George H. David, Jr., Mrs. Rayner V. Snead, Mrs. John DeBergh, Mrs. Charles T. Bruce’ Mrs. D. D. Miller and Mrs. Harry Lee Smith. Score prizes were awarded to Mrs. Miller, Mrs. Snead and Mrs. Smith.
