Paul Powers Dicks of the Virginia State Police has been transferred from Rappahannock County to Page County and assumes his duties there Thursday. Mr. Dicks will fill the vacancy in Page County which was the result of the resignation of K. E. Kerkhoff who has gone into private business after serving 12 years with the department. Mr. Dicks came to Rappahannock in December 1962. He first served with the police department in 1960 in Williamsburg and in Woodbridge before coming to this area. Prior to joining the state force he served with the police force in Winchester and was Deputy Sheriff of Frederick County. Mr. Dicks, with his wife and daughter Paula, intend to live in Flint Hill until the close of school, then will move to Luray. Filling the opening in Rappahannock County is Trooper J. B.
