Smoot Goes to Grand Jury
At a preliminary hearing Tuesday afternoon in Rappahannock County Court, Carl Smoot of Washington, w as found guilty of felonious assault and shooting into an occupied vehicle. The offense occurred September 4. The case was sent to the grand jury which will convene the second Monday in November.

Amissville Rescue Squad answered a call Thursday to a. traffic accident on the Viewtown road and took Charles Russell Settle, Charles Hawkins, Landon Walker and three children to Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton. Monday evening the squad took Mr. and Mrs. John Stager of Astoria, N. Y. from a collision near Ben Venue to Fauquier Hospital.
Amissville Rescue Squad transported Mrs. Ida Jenkins from her home nearViewtown to University of Virginia Hospital, Charlottesville on Monday. Tuesday the squad took Charlie Hack ley from his; home near Amissville to Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton. On Friday Mrs. Mildred Smith was taken from Echo Hill Farm to Warren Memorial Hospital by the Rappahannock

the squad took Frank Poehler j to Culpeper Hospital. On Monday Floyd Hitt was taken to! Warren Memorial Hospital and brought back home.' The Flint Hill Rescue Squad took Floyd Hitt to Winchester Memorial Hospital and returned him to his home Sunday night. The Sperryvllle Fire Company was called Monday to extinguish a brush fire in a fence row in Gid Brown Hollow.
