After being graduated from Appalachria High School she attended Averett College and Madison College from which she received her Bachelor of ScieiTce degree. In college she was a member erf the Kappa Delta Pi and Phi Phata Kappa bailor societies. She is married* to Lucio J. Kilby and has three children, a son, Tim, aged 18 and two daughters Tish, 21 and Terry, 15. Her interests include music, art, flower gardening and writing.
