Two Auto Mishaps

In Last Week-end

A hit and run traffic crash occurred just west of Amissville on Route 211 Friday evening. A 1966 Chevelle coupe operated by Howard Amos Clark of Washington, Va. was struck by a 64 Rambler operated by Garna Hale McDaniel of Severn, Md. Clark wastraveling east when McDaniel pulled onto the highway frpm Bel Air Restaurant and struck the Chevelle in the right. McDaniel failed to stop at the scene of the accident but was apprehended later by Trooper W. A. Buntin, who investigated the crash. The Clark vehicle, owned by Mrs. Eliza Mazie Clark, was damaged in .excess of $350 and damage to the McDaniel vehicle was estimated at $300, said the officer.

A two-vehicle collision occurred Sunday evening on Rt. 211 four miles west of Amissvillg. Armand McMillan of Elizabethton, Tenn. wascharg 'ed with failing to drive to the right of the center of the road when his 1964 Oldsmoblle side swiped a 65 Chevrolet pickup operated by Otis Jordan of Amissville. Trooper J. B. Willis investigated the collision.

Class Postponed

The regular Thursday night knitting class conducted by Mrs. Mary Cleverley at her home in Flint Hill has been postponed because of illness in her family, therefore it will not meet tonight.
