Hears Safety Talk
The regular meeting of the Rappahannock County Volunteer Fireman’s Association ‘ was held at the Sperryville < Volunteer Fire department on 1 January 20, 1967 at 8;00 p.m 1 All fire departments in the 1 county were represented. State Trooper W. A. Buntin ' and Deputy Sheriff John Walk- 1 er Jenkins were guests. Troop 1 er Buntin was guest speaker 1 and gave pertinent information relating to the safety and responsibilities of both the Fire Departments and the Rescue Squads as outlined in the Virginia State Code. The next regular meeting of I [he Association will be held J on February 17, 1967 at Wash-, ington Volunteer Fire-Department at 7:30 p.m. All mem-i bers are urged to attend and bring a fellow fireman or squadsman.
Fish Regulations Changes Approved
Two minor changes in Virginia Fishing Laws were approved by the Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries at their meeting in Richmond January 13. One of these allows Sunday fishing on National Forest lands in Alleghany, Bath, Highland and Rockbridge Counties. The.jjth.er exempts persons fishing in^tlje South Fork of the Shenandoah River from the National Forest Stamp requirement. These regulations will become effective February 1, 1967.
