Winchester, - Invitations have been mailed to 120 volunteer fire companies in Mary land, Pennsylvania, Virginia and* West Virginia for the Firemen's parade of the 40th Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival here on May 4, at 6 p. m., DST. Also invited to take part in the first night event of the 1967 Festival program are 120 other'units - bands, drum & bugle corps, drill teams and miscellaneous marching groups, Harold M. Bageant, director of this year’s springtime parade, issued the invitations on behalf of the volunteer fire companies of this city and Frederick County. The city and county fire companies manage the Apple Blofesom Firemen's parade for the Festival organization. Local companies take part in the parade but are not eligible for awards.
High school bands in 12 states and Canada have been invited to come here at Apple Blossom Time, May 4-5-6. The invitations have been malt ed to bands in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, Ontario, New York, Delaware, Ohio, North Carolina,
