The following notes showing how hard a worn an works for her family during her lifetime might be of interest to husbands. The average - homemaker will buy, lug hpme and prepare 9,000 lbs. of potatoes, 14,000 lbs. of fruit, 2,000 lbs. of cheese, 8,000 lbs. of sugar, 300 cows, 5,000 eggs, 4 calves and a whole lake full of fish, all of this for each pferson in the family! Spring and summer issues of pattern catalogues are beginning to come into the office. You are welcomed to stop by and use them. We see more fresh fruits coming on the market each week now and this will continue into the summer. If you are countin’ calories this may be good news for you. Try some of these fruit combinations. You may want to use some sweetening with them. 1. Slice pineapple, apricot halves, sweet red cherries, and sliced pears.' 2. Watermelon balls - when the fresh are out of season try the frozen .. peach slices, orange slices. 3. Grapefruit sections, banana slices, berries or cherries.

4. Grapefruit sections, unpared apple slices. 5. Peach slices, pear slices, halves of-red plums. 6. Pineapple wedges, banana slices, Strawberries, and pear slices.
