The Sperryville I 4-H Club met January 14 with 20 members present. A new reporter was elected. A program in the form of a skit was presented. In project work the girls learn ed about fhaoffrrts of a sewing machine and the boys had trees as their subject.

On Monday, January 23, our fifth 4-H meeting was held at Washington Graded School. There were 32 members, 16 boys and 16 girls present. The song leader led us in songs then the instructors took their classes. Miss Brown talked to the girls about making soft drinks and Mr. Lyne talked to the boys about beneficial insects.

Mrs. Ida Trump is visiting friends in Washington, D.C, Mrs. Mary Cleverley is spending some time in Arlington called there by the illness' of a member of her family.! Mr. and Mrs. Edward E.! Clark were in Charlottesville Monday where their youngest son underwent tests at a hospital there. H. S. Barksdale and Emory Russell attended the firemens banquet Thursday evening in Front Royal. Attending the Culpeper banquet the 6ame eve ning were Mrs. Moffett Pullen Mrs. Barbara Gentry, M. R. Bradford and Douglas Bywaters.
Sunday guests of Mrs. Clarence Pullen were Mr. and Mrs Arthur Pullen of Amissville, Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Lillard of Leesburg, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Rawls, Front Royal, Mr. and Mrs. Moffett Pullen and Mrs. George Grimsley and their families. Mr. and Mrs. Irving Corbin of Annandale were weekend visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Her bert " Foster. Sunday guests were Mrs. Ertha Corbin of Arlington and Mr. and Mrs. Gavor Foster and family.
