Honor Firemen
The Ladies Auxiliary to Flint Hill Fire Department honored the Firemen with a banquet last Wednesday evening. Also present for the occasion were special guests and visiting fire and rescue squadsmen and auxiliary members from Marshall, Front Royal, Brandy Station, Warrenton, Sperryville, Washington, Amissville, Culpeper and The Plains. The group was welcomed by Mrs. Barbara Gentry and H. S. Barksdale was toastmaster. Guest speakers were Hugh Grubb, Jr. of Purcellville and Joseph Kemper, Manassas. Mr. Barksdale, on behalf of the fire company and rescue squad of Flint Hill, expressed appreciation to the Ladies for the check in the amount of $1,000 which they had given
