Mrs. Thomas L. Eastham is a patient in Winchester Memorial Hospital. Mrs. C. W. King returned to her home in Ben Venue on Sunday from Winchester hospital. Miss Faye Wilder and Miss Myron Smith, members of the Chowan College Choir were Saturday overnight guests of Mrs. Alice Verner and Mrs. ■ Virgil Updike. On Sunday Mrs. Updike and Mrs. Perle Coffey of Sperryville were visitors in Strasburg. Mrs. Coffey was a supper guest in the Updike home. Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Jones were business visitors Tuesday in Richmond. Among those attending thei Democratic Dinner Saturday night at the Thomas Jefferson Inn were Judge and Mrs. T. C. Mrs. Kent Woolfolk of Louisa was the over-night guest Sunday of Mrs. F. D. Wood at Sunnyside. Miss Irene Keyser was the week-end guest of Mrs. Wood.

Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Updike were Mrs Eva Brady and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wisecarver of Win-| Chester and Mr. and Mrs. C.! M. Raney of Slate Mills. Dr. and Mrs. Miklos Degre of Rochester, N. Y. were Sun-: day overnight guests of Mrs. Degre’s cousin Mrs. Henry M. Keyser. Dr. and Mrs. Degre and Mrs. Keyser were weekend visitors in Williamsburg. William F. Moffett, Jr. spent the day Saturday in Charlottes viile with his son Page, who is a 1st. year student at the University ' of Virginia. Together they attended the Varsity-Alumni game in the after noon and the 7th Congressional District Democratic Dinner at the Thomas Jefferson Inn in the evening. Page then returned home to spend the weekend.
