The Seniors were very active last week with some upcoming class projects. At twc meetings held Monday and Wed nesday they discussed plans for a Senior Class activity and drew up a list of possibilities for presentation to the school board. The board approved a trip to the Apple Blossom Festival in Winchester.
Tuesday, April 11 tryouts were held for the Senior Class play. This year the play is a comedy entitled "The Greatest Man Alive* by Tom Webster. May 12 has been set as the date for its presentation, j On Wednesday, April 12 the iAnnual Staff held its second teaching session for the 1967168 staff. The sessions have j had a very good response sc far and it is hoped that they 'will be of great benefit to the group. I The names of the 1967-68 | cheerleaders were announced jlast week. They are Jeanne 'Woodard, Beverly Beahm, | Carter Moffett, Stephanie Ayilor, Amy Palmer, Debbie Pullen and Betty Jenkins. Friday the R.C.H.S. Panthers baseball team played its first district game against Warren County. The final score was Warren County 18; Rappahannock 2. On Saturday the team played a non-district game against Madison. That score was Madison 6, Rappahannock 1. This week the teacher’s profile is that of Mrs. Georgia Kay Browning. Mrs. Browning was born in Caroline County. After attending Mica High School she went to Mary Wash ington College for three years and to Johnston Willis Hospital where she became a Registered Nurse with graduate work in Operating Room Supervision and Public Health. While in college Mrs. Browning was on both the basketball and hockey squad. Mrs. Brown ing and her husband John S, Browning have two sons John B. and Edgar K. Browning. At R.C.H.S. she has the supervision of study halls. Her interests include sewing, reading, flowers, Bridge and spectator sports. The Brownings reside in Flint Hill.
