Chester Gap
The regular monthly meeting of the Chester Gap Home Demonstration Club was held last Thursday night in the basement of the Baptist Church with seven members present. Mrs. Marcelle McNeill, Nancy Bruce and Linda McNeill were visitors last Thursday afternoon of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Williams. . Ermand Morris was off from work all last week because of illness. On Sunday Mr. Morris and son Roger Lee visited his parents in Waldorf, Md. Mrs. Lonzie Walters returned from the University of Virginia Hospital last Friday. The Walters family moved last week from here to Brown town. Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Fox and family and Mrs. Weltie Willis were visitors Saturday in Winchester.
Mrs. Patsy Williams and daughter Patty and Mrs. Le Merle Williams were Tuesday visitors in Winchester. Visitors Tuesday of last week of Mrs. Eileen Davis were Mr. and Mrs. Phil Charles and Mr. Charles’sister of Arlington. Sam North returned to his home from Warren Memorial Hospital on Sunday after being a patient for eight days. Mrs. Gladys Beatty and Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Clatterbuck of Front Royal visited the North family Sunday afternoon. A group of young people of the Chester Gap Baptist Mission went to the new Mt. Salem Baptist Church in Culpeper for a Youth Rally last Saturday night. Those a 11 e nd i n g were Mrs. Jessie Wines, Ruth Ann Foster, Wanda, Rachel and Mattie Williams, Stevie and Clevie Williams. They were accompanied by the Rev. Ralph Rasberry and Mrs. LeMerle Williams.
