Certificates Awarded
At Washington Elem.
Washington Elementary School commencement exercises were held last night, Wednesday, at the school with 19 seventh grade students receiving certificates. Mrs. Leslie Fox Keyser, retired Elementary Supervisor of Warren and Rappahannock Counties, spoke to the graduates and those attending and awarded certificates. Talks were given by Ricky Gore, Deborah Barron and Brenda Printz and special music by the students were songs, “Grandfather’s Clock” and “We’re Bound for High School.” “What My School Years Have Meant To Me" was told in short verse with each graduate participating.
Sperryville Elem.
Commencement Held
Forty-two seventh grade students of Sperryville Elementary School received certificates at commencement ex ercises held last night. Bill Kilby presided during the program which had for its theme °In Tune with the Times.” Devotions were given by the class and chorus and the Rev. Ray Williams made a prayer. The Pledge to the Flag was led by Mike Foster and Betty Rutherford, followed by the chorus singing “This Land is Our Land,” conducted by Elaine Cameron.
