Annual Lawn Party
At Willis Chapel
A lawn party will be held at Willis Chapel Methodist Church at Huntly on Saturda> July 1 beginning at 5:30 p.m. This annual event will, as usual, offer a large variety of excellent home cooked food consisting of country ham, fried chicken, assorted vegetables, salads, pie, cake and homemade ice cream.
Page Moffett Receives Naval Scholarship
Midshipman Third Class l.dward Page Moffett. NROTC son of Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Moffett, Jr. of Washington, Va was awarded a Regular scholarship in the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps at the University ofoVirginia, Charlottesville, Virginia. He was a Contract student and received no tuition or retainer pay for the_ first part of his college education. As a Regular Midshipman he will receive all tuition, book, and lab fees, plus $50 a month for the remaining years at the University of Virginia. Upon graduation he will be commissioned an Hnsign in the LA S. Navy.
