made by Frank Walker of Orange. Miss Bonnie North of Huntly, winner of the local Jaycee beauty pageant held in April, was presented a $100 scholarship by Jim Willis on behalf of the Jaycees. Miss North received a cash prize of $100 at the pageant with an additional like a mount to be given when she entered or was accepted at a school of her choice for further education. She was a 1967 graduate of Rappahannock County High School and will enter Strayer Business College, Washington, D. C.
Certificates of appreciation were given Mrs. Dorothy Davis, T. J. Pillar, Mrs. Mary Quaintance, Dennis Wingfield, Irvin Kilby for assistance with the pageant and auction sale; to Gibson Wharton for use of the meeting hall; and to the Editor of the Rappahannock News for news and publicity. Other guests at the banquet included thefwives of the club members, George H. Davis, Jr., prospective members, John Walker Jenkins and the Rev. William Harrison who also gave the invocation, Mrs. Harrison, and Mrs. T. J. Pillar.
A short business meeting disclosed the public auction held June 17 proved a success and that the group planned to install a flashing caution light at each approach to Rappahannock County High School on Route 211.
Little League Registration
Saturday at the Elementary School in Sperryville at l p. m. will be the last day of registration for Little League sport sored by the Rappahannock J. C.’s.
