Youth Group To Hike Old Rag
The Youth Group of F. T. Baptist Church, near Sperryville have scheduled a hike to Old Rag Mounta in on Saturday, October 7. Anyone who is interested is invited to meet at the church at 9 p.m. and are requested to bring their lunch.

Drive in October
October is Fund Drive month for the American Red Cross Fauquier and Rappahannock County Chapters. Cards will be sent out soon soliciting your membership. It is imperative that the quota of $18,500 be met as the National budget has been depleted by the many disasters. Webster defines a disaster as “a sudden or unexpected misfortune - floods - fire - famine, etc.” Following a news item or newscast of a disaster, such as in the wake of the hurricane Beulah always are the heartening words, “The Red Cross moved..What would happen if the Red Cross was not there? We as fellow Americans must support this humane organization.
No one knows when and where a disaster will occur ... Give to your local organization and know the satisfaction of helping.
